My Kite
If blue was black the day would be night,
and I wouldn’t be able to fly my kite,
If black was white you would not see this,
And the moon and the stars we would surely miss.
If kids were teachers and teachers were kids,
There would be no more calling us kids bin lids.
We wouldn’t need to go to school,
No more tests and no more rules.
If boys were dads and girls were mums,
We wouldn’t need to do our sums,
We could play and play until we’re done,
Skip and hop, have lots of fun.
Eat what we want and when we like,
Stay out of doors and ride our bikes.
But the day is not night and the sky is blue,
And I’m not a Mum and neither are you.
